I'm in the process of following your final instructions but the link you gave me to the adobe download won't work as it keeps asking me for a proxy setting?

The pc is still very slow and internet explorer keeps not responing for the first 10 seconds and windows still takes 10 minutes to boot, but hopefully the ram will help that.

Anyway, thank you for all of your help in getting my friends laptop clean.
