Upon realising that my free version of Adobe 9 reader was no longer functioning, I downloaded what I thought was an Adobe reader update - too late realising that it was fraudulent (complete with misspellings etc). So in true after-the-horse-has-bolted style, I deleted it... well, after a fashion. What happened was that it also deleted my non-functioning copy of Adobe reader, which at the time didn't seem such an issue. However, since then I've been unable to reinstall the current version of Adobe reader on to my laptop. This means I'm now denied access to all PDF files, which is an absolute pain. Even a friend of mine, who's a bit of a whizz on PCs has been unable to download a new reader for me, despite doing everything in order to get round the problem. My laptop runs on XP and I use the latest (free) version of AVG 2011. Also I use Internet Explorer. I don't know if there is an answer, but should there be one I'd be mighty appreciative for some assistance, if any is available. Regards, Tony.
