1. When I do a search in google and am given a list of results and then click on one of the links, I am often redirected to one of a number of different sites. They usually, if not always, look like the results of a search. They have a number of web pages from which to choose which are related to the topic I entered in my original search. If I copy and paste a link rather than clicking on it, I don't get redirected. I get to the correct website. I tried this in Firefox and had the same results.
2. Sometimes I have new windows opening at will. Sometimes it's when I'm scrolling, and sometimes my hands aren't on the keyboard or mouse. If I close the new window immediately, that's the end of it. If it fully opens, it looks like a tv news website. When I click to close it, I have to go through several steps to get it closed. Often another window opens with someone promoting something and I have to cancel several times before everything closes.
3. Sometimes I get a warning that I have a problem. The window looks like it's scanning my computer and comes up with many, many trojan issues. It "scans" very rapidly, faster than possible if it were really scanning.
4. Sometimes when I try to close a window it will not close.
5. Sometimes when I want to download a new program I get an error message. The most recent example is when I tried to download Secunia. I got a NSIS Error.
I ran maleware several times, the short and the long version and it finds nothing.
