HijackThis Log For My Computer

Hi, and thanks for looking at this log. I wouldn't understand it even if I tried.

My issue: Just recently my computer has been slowed down at times quite a bit. I also noticed that when I was doing a search on Google, if I clicked on any of the links that resulted from my search, the link would take me to a blank page with the words "no results found" in small text in the upper lefthand corner...then the page would automatically redirect me to some secondhand search engine page. I usually open my Google links in a new tab, so I would close that tab, try to re-open the link again in a new tab, and the 2nd time it would take me to the correct web page.

I tried installing and running Malwarebytes and SuperAntispyware, but neither program will actually run when I try to run them for some reason.

Hi dzinermachine, sorry for the delay.

Please see if you can get MBAM to run. If it won't run please rename it as explained below

1. Right click Start - Click Explore
2. Navigate to: c:\program files\malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Right click on mbam.exe - click Rename
3. Type into the name box: airscape.exe

Then perform a quick scan and post the log. If it won't run then ignore for now and continue with the following.

Download/Run Rkill
Please download Rkill from Here, Here,Here, or Here and save to the desktop.

• Double click on Rkill to run it.
• A command window will open then disappear upon completion, this is normal.
• Please leave Rkill on the Desktop until otherwise advised.

Note: If your security software warns about Rkill, please ignore and allow the download to continue.

Please download GMER from here and save it to your desktop.

• Disconnect from the Internet and close all running programs.
• Double-click the randomly named.exe file to run it.
• At the start if given a warning and are asked to fully scan your system, click NO.
• Remain on the Rootkit tab at the top.
• Click the Scan button to start the scan. Don't use the computer while the scan is running.
• When the scan finishes click Save... save it to the desktop as gmer.log
• Re-connect to the internet then copy/paste the log into your next reply.

Note: If Gmer won't run then on the right leave only the sections and C: boxes checked shown here and run the scan again.

Random's System Information Tool (RSIT)

• Please download RSIT by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
• Double-click on RSIT.exe to run it.
• Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
• Once it has finished, two logs will open.
• Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

Note: both logs can be found in the C:\rsit folder if you lose them.
