Possible malware infection

Unread postby Invisy » May 23rd, 2010, 7:07 am

I use a program called rawr, I have been using it for about 2 months. Just the other day it stops working because the program essentially connects to another site to obtain information to run. I posted on the programs forums, and they had me upload a log file generated by rawr, and informed me that "According to the log it's trying to connect to 127.0.0.1:5555. This seem like a proxy setting that you have in effect. Check your settings in Internet Options. It's also possible that you have some spyware on your computer that is redirecting your traffic."

I went into the program's proxy settings, and as I expected it was turned off. So that leaves me with the option of having spyware. I'm not 100% sure about this because rawr is the only program that seems to be affected.

this is the edited link to my log file if you wish to view it
hxxp://rawr.codeplex.com/Project/Downlo ... entId=3585

Your help comes greatly appreciated.
