Hello, Nerds! (said with the utmost respect)
Could someone here look over these logs and advise what if anything I can do to improve this machine's performance?
Often, in runs very slowly, pauses in the middle of loading webpages and in general has been behaving rather poorly.
I've attached a hijack this log followed by an uninstall log.
Thank you for any help you can offer.

Bob Z.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
My name is Airscape and I'll be helping you with your malware issues.
HijackThis logs can take time to analyze. Please be patient with me.

Take note of following before we begin:
Copy the instructions to Notepad or print them, as you may be offline during parts of the fix.
  • Post to this thread only and please stick to it until you are given an All Clean. Absence of symptoms does not mean that your computer is clean.
  • The instructions I give are for This computer only and should not be used on any other pc.
  • Do NOT run any tools/scans unless I instruct you to.
  • Try not to install/uninstall any programs while we work. This will add extra time researching your logs.
  • If you have found assistance elsewhere and no longer require our help, please say so, and this topic will be closed.
  • If you have any problems, please stop and ask before proceeding with any fixes.

Note: As I'm in training at MRU everything I post must be checked by an expert first. So there may be a slight delay in between posts.

1- Rename HijackThis.exe
There may be an infection hiding in your log.
  • Open up Windows Explore by right-clicking the Start button and left clicking Explore.
  • Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe
  • Right-click on HijackThis.exe and select Rename... Name it scanner.exe or something similar.
  • Redo a scan and post the results please.

2- Uninstall list with HijackThis
  • Launch HijackThis and click Open the Misc Tools section
  • Under System Tools > Click Open Uninstall Manager
  • Click on the Save list... button to the right. By default it's named uninstall_list.txt
  • Please post the uninstall_list.txt along with a new HijackThis log in your next reply.

Thanks. :)

Due to a lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
