luka4mtb,
This infection can be extremely serious. There is no guarantee that it can be fixed without Reformatting and Re-installing Vista.
Let's get started. One of the infections you have usually comes from clicking on a link ("Ya gotta see this", etc) in an instant messaging forum.
--------------------------------------------
TDSSKiller
  • Download the file TDSSKiller.zip and save it on your desktop
  • Extract the file tdskiller.zip, it will create a folder named tdsskiller on your desktop
  • Double-click the tdsskiller Folder on your desktop.
  • Right-click on tdsskiller.exe and click Copy then Paste it directly on to your Desktop.
  • Highlight and copy (Ctrl+C) the text in the codebox below.
    Code: Select all
    "%userprofile%\desktop\tdsskiller.exe" -l "%userprofile%\desktop\tdsskiller.txt"
  • Click Start, ... and paste (Ctrl+V) the text into the Search box line, and click OK. Give any necessary permissions.
  • Wait for the scan and disinfection process to be over.
  • Open tdskiller.txt on your desktop and post the contents in your next reply
-----------------------------------------------------------
Remove Registry items with HighjackThis. Start HijackThis.
Click Do System Scan Only. When the Scan is complete, Check the following entries:
(Some of these lines may be missing)

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.local
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe ,C:\Windows\system32\yahooui.exe

Make sure Every other window except HJT is closed (No other tabs showing in the bottom tray), and Click Fix Checked
Click the "X" in the upper right corner of the HiJackThis window to close it.
-----------------------------------------------------------
REBOOT (RESTART) Your Machine
---------------------------------------------
Please download OTL.exe by OldTimer and save it to your desktop.
Right click on OTL.exe and select Run As Administrator to run it. If Windows UAC prompts you, please allow it.
  • Under Output, ensure that Minimal Output is selected
  • Copy the text in the code box below and paste it into the Custom Scans/Fixes box (under the cyan line at the bottom of the window)
    Code: Select all
    yahooui.exe
    seocfg.exe
    upd1234.exe
    vbn.sdf
    yahooauth2.dll
    ssleay32.dll
    libeay32.dll
    netsvcs
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.exe
    /md5start
    eventlog.dll
    scecli.dll
    netlogon.dll
    cngaudit.dll
    sceclt.dll
    ntelogon.dll
    logevent.dll
    iaStor.sys
    nvstor.sys
    atapi.sys
    IdeChnDr.sys
    viasraid.sys
    AGP440.sys
    vaxscsi.sys
    nvatabus.sys
    viamraid.sys
    nvata.sys
    nvgts.sys
    iastorv.sys
    ViPrt.sys
    eNetHook.dll
    ahcix86.sys
    KR10N.sys
    nvstor32.sys
    ahcix86s.sys
    nvrd32.sys
    symmpi.sys
    adp3132.sys
    /md5stop
    %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
    CREATERESTOREPOINT
    %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\Tasks\*.job /lockedfiles
  • Click Run Scan in upper left of window.
  • When the scan is finished, two separate logs will open in Notepad:
    OTL.Txt <-- Will be maximized
    Extras.Txt <-- Will be minimized
These are saved in the same location as OTL.
  • Please post the contents of these two logs in your next reply.

So we are looking for the contents of tdsskiller.txt from your desktop, and the two logs from the OTL scanner.
You can use separate replies for each one if you wish.

I want to add something tough, i did this quick scan with mbam at a week ago and it found the same malwares and it asked me to restart the computer, well i did, but it seems that then it didn't delete them. Same thing happened now, it asked me to restart computer, so i am not sure if it actually removed them.

luka4mbt,
That's a good thing now. With the infection disabled, the removal should have worked.
Let's make a check.
See if you can run this one.
It takes quite a while, so please don't be impatient with it, and don't touch it while it's running.
-----------------------------------------------------
Run an Online Kaspersky WebScan
  • Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan.
  • Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  • It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
  • When the Program and Database downloads have finished, (may take a while), Click on My Computer under Scan.
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
  • You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
  • Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.
  • Please post the contents of this log in your next reply.

okay...i did try the online scanner, but due to the fact that i have a really bad internet connection it took almost half of day to download everything, and when it comes to scanning, in an hour it scanned only 1000 files, (it said that this is almost 5%), therefore i stopped it, i cannot leave my computer on, because it is a leptop and i do not want to use it plugged in for a very long time (not to ruin the battery). unfortunately i do not have that much time to stay and watch the computer
But i did scan again the computer with mbam and it did not find anything, (i'll post the log of this also), but in the quarantine tab, there are the three items that suposely have been deleted in the scan before (IM.Worm, Spyware Password and Hijack Shell). Should i select delete all?... and if it is another quicker way to scan the computer, i simply do not have that much time to scan it with that online scanner.

luka4mtb,
You should select delete all in MBAM.
If you are willing to go without any additional scans to be absolutely certain, I can say your machine is OK.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Replace the Current HOSTS File with MVPs
Download HostsXpert and unzip (extract) it to your computer, somewhere where you can find it.
  • Double click on HostsXpert.exe to launch the program. Give whatever Permissions are required.
  • In the bottom half of the left pane, click on File Handling
  • If the first button at the top is labeled Make Writeable?, click on it so the label changes to Make Read Only
  • Click third button from the bottom, labeled Download. A couple new buttons will appear at the top.
  • Click on the top button labeled MVPs Hosts and choose Replace
  • When asked to verify if you want to Replace present Hosts file, click OK.
  • When it finishes , click on File Handling again.
  • Click the button at the top labeled Make Read Only, so the label changes to Make Writeable?
  • Hit the X in the upper right corner to exit HostsXpert
If you have a separate third party firewall, or Winpatrol, you may have to give permissions at various times to Unlock the present default HOSTS file and install the new one.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Install WinPatrol - Download and Install the Free WinPatrol, and view Instructions here: http://www.winpatrol.com/winpatrol.html
- WinPatrol is an active program that drops a "Scotty Dog" icon into the system tray (right click to check/change status), allows you to monitor/edit startups, services, Browser helpers, and prompts for permission if any program tries to change your system.

The link for the hostexpert is a broken link, it doesn't work....at least for me. And in another mbam scan there were no items found...

Works for me this morning.
In your case, I think it's important to get the HOSTS file installed. It's one of the best protections, and it's totally transparent.
The link to the mvps HOSTS file page is here: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm
You can read all about the HOSTS file and how to apply it.
My instructions are clear I think, but this will give you more information about the HOSTS file and its function.
The part about disabling the DNS client service first is very important.
The link to HOSTSXPERT is down near the bottom of the page : http://www.funkytoad.com/download/HostsXpert.zip

If you install Winpatrol before doing the HOSTS file, Winpatrol will flag it and ask for permission.

I downloaded the hostexpert program from the link in the second reply and I run the program, and I followed the instructions and I think it worked. and as for infections I think there are none left, my leptop works just fine.
Thank you for all your help, I apreciate it...
