I wish I would have read properly instead of writing down all the info :pale:
The CPU info said System Idle was 99 and all other items usage was 00 once I restarted the computer. The computer will still just start running as if processing even if I haven't been using for 15+ minutes.

When you say running do you mean that you hear disk activity?

It's a constant noise similar to a vacuum cleaner.

Hi kaypo,
That sounds more like a fan (or fans), working to cool you components.
When is the last time you opened the case made sure there is no dust (or other junk) built up on the fans and other components?
Please take the time to look at: Cleaning the Interior of your PC

Not a Malware Issue
Your problem does not appear to be "malware" related. The Malware Removal forum deals with removing malware.
I suggest you try a PC troubleshooting forum. Links for some are provided below.
These sites have a variety of experts, that are better equipped to investigate and resolve these kinds of issues.

If you have any questions or require additional malware help, please let me know.
Otherwise, please execute the step below for a final online scan...
Then unless there are any malware issues, I will provide some final instructions and recommendations, for keeping your computer more secure.

Step 1.
Kaspersky Online Scanner.
Please go to Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner © Kaspersky Lab to perform an online antivirus scan.
  1. Read the "Advantages - Requirements and Limitations" then press... the ACCEPT...button.
The latest program and definition files will be downloaded. It takes time, please be patient, let it finish.
  2. Once the files have been downloaded, click on the SETTINGS...button.
In the scan settings make sure the following are selected:
    • Detect malicious programs of the following categories:
      Viruses, Worms, Trojan Horses, Rootkits
Spyware, Adware, Dialers and other potentially dangerous programs
    • Scan compound files (doesn't apply to the File scan area):
      Archives
      Mail databases
By default the above items should already be checked.
    • Click the SAVE...button, if you made any changes.
  3. Now under the Scan section on the left:
      Select My Computer
The program will start scanning your system. This takes a while, be patient... let it run.
Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  4. Save the scan results as a Text file ... save it to your desktop.
  5. Copy and paste the saved scan results file in your next reply.

Step 2.
Please include in your next reply:
  1. Any problem executing the instructions?
  2. KAS scan results
  3. Not counting the noise... How is the computer behaving?
Thanks,
Wingman

OMG! Wingman I have a virus. It has taken over my computer. I cannot open any programs or the internet. I am trying to run Avira as soon as I log on but keep being told file is infected. I went to a banking site and that is when the computer went crazy. I am posting this via my blackberry. Can anything be done?
Adult websites keep popping up on the screen but I can't get on the net by clicking on yahoo or google.

Hi kaypo,
OK... let's take it one step at a time. :) Please try to restart the computer in Safe Mode.

DO NOT attempt to connect to the Internet or run any programs... just boot to SAFE Mode and leave the computer alone.

Step 1.
Boot XP to Safe Mode
Print these instructions, you will not have Internet access!
  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Continually tap the F8 key (usually)... as your computer is booting (when menu appears).
The key used for your computer may be different... F8 is commonly the key used.
  3. Use up-arrow key to select "Safe Mode" and press Enter.
If you have a multiple boot system (more than 1 OS installed) or you have Recovery Console installed...
you will be shown the multi boot screen.
    • Highlight the OS you want to start.
    • Press Enter
  4. Once the system starts ...it will show various files/drivers being loaded. Windows will load your desktop.
  5. Reply "Yes" to the Safe Mode startup, if prompted.

Let me know if you could restart the computer successfully, in Safe Mode.
Do NOTHING else with the computer.

Thanks,
Wingman

Hi kaypo,
OK... that's real good :)

Just take it one step at a time... if you have problems with a step... post back and let me know what's happening.

Step 1.
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
You should still have this on your desktop...
  1. Please start MBAM (Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware) again. DO NOT attempt to check for updates...
  2. Press the Scanner tab...
  3. Select FULL SCAN this time... then press the Scan...button. This scan will take a while, so please be patient.
    When the scan finishes...
  4. Check everything to be removed, except the System Volume entries
  5. Let MBAM remove what it can... if there are files to be deleted on reboot... please reboot the machine so MBAM can finish the removal.
If you rebooted, then you'll need to start MBAM again.
  6. Press the LOG... tab. Locate the most current log file.
Please copy and paste the most recent log (from this new run) in your next reply.

Try rebooting the computer normally now... The execute Step 2.
If normal mode isn't working, then boot to Safe Mode again and execute the RSIT step.

Step 2.
RSIT (Random's System Information Tool)
You should still have this program on your desktop.
Attention!
In order for both info and log files to be produced again, I need you to delete the existing RSIT folder:
  1. C:\RSIT <-- delete this entire folder , then...
  2. Double click on RSIT.exe to run it.
  3. Please read the disclaimer... click on Continue.
RSIT will start running. When done... 2 (Notepad) text files...will be produced.
The first one, "log.txt", <<will be maximized... the second one, "info.txt", <<will be minimized.
These log files can be found in the C:\RSIT folder
  4. Please post both... "log.txt" and "info.txt", file contents in your next reply.

Step 3.
Please include in your next reply:
  1. Any problem executing the instructions?
  2. MBAM scan results.
  3. RSIT new log.txt and info.txt file contents.
  4. How is the computer behaving?
Thanks,
Wingman

Hi kaypo,
Thanks for the RSIT scan output. I need to see the MBAM scan results, fortunately these are saved automatically by MBAM.

Step 1.
Retrieve Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) Log(s)
There is a need to see a scan log from a previous run of MBAM, please do the following:
  1. Start MBAM... click the Logs tab at the top.
The log will be named by the date & time of scan in the following format: mbam-log-yyyy-mm-dd (time).txt
If you have had multiple runs of MBAM, there may be several logs showing in the list.
  2. Click on the last (most recent) log name to highlight it... then click the Open button, at bottom left. The log should open in Notepad as a text file.
  3. Please copy and paste the entire mbam-log-yyyy-mm-dd (time).txt file in your next reply.
Be sure to post the complete log... including the top portion showing MBAM's database version and your operating system.
  4. Exit MBAM when done.

Step 2.
Please include in your next reply:
  1. Any problem executing the instructions?
  2. MBAM scan results.
  3. How is the computer behaving?
Thanks,
Wingman

Wingman, I attempted to do this last night and again now. The log did not automatically save a copy even though my settings are set to save a copy. The scan took almost 4 hours last night and that log isn't listed.

Wingman was checking my email and it happened again. The same program stalled the computer and started taking over. I just turned the cpu off. Mallwarebytes didn't remove. Will wait for your instructions.

Hi kaypo,
Thanks for the MBAM log, good job locating it. :) OK... let's get a couple of scans run... Take care to save the output results.

Whenever you get an error or see a problem, please try to get the information on the screen. This will aid in the proper removal tool being used.
Did this program "take over" after checking a particular email or when you opened your email product? If it happened on a particular piece of email, then delete that email, after documenting who/where it came from and the subject line information. Always be cautious about opening email, where you don't recognize the sender.

Make sure your computer has been started in normal mode, MBAM does run in Safe Mode but is much more effective when run in normal mode.

Step 1.
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  1. Please start MBAM (Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware) again.
  2. Press the Update tab.. then press the Check for Updates...button.
Once any updates are installed or you get the message that you are up-to-date
  3. Press the Scanner tab...
  4. Select FULL SCAN this time... then press the Scan...button. This scan will take a while, so please be patient.
    When the scan finishes...
  5. Check everything to be removed, except the System Volume entries
  6. Let MBAM remove what it can... if there are files to be deleted on reboot... please reboot the machine so MBAM can finish the removal.
If you rebooted, then you'll need to start MBAM again.
  7. Press the LOG... tab. Locate the most current log file.
Please copy and paste the most recent log (from this new run) in your next reply.

Step 2.
ESET NOD32 Online Scan
Note: You - will - need to use Internet Explorer for this scan!
Please temporarily disable your Anti-virus real-time protection. If active, it could impact the online scan.
Please go to ESET Online Scanner - © ESET All Rights Reserved... to run an online scan.
** Make sure you are using an account that has Administrative privileges **
Press the "ESET Online Scanner" button.
  1. Check the box next to "YES, I accept the Terms of Use."
  2. Click "Start"... a window will open... it may appear nothing is happening... please be patient.
  3. Click Yes... at the run ActiveX prompt. Click Install... at the install ActiveX prompt.
Once installed, the scanner will be initialized.
  4. Click "Start". Make sure that the options:
    • Remove found threats is UNCHECKED
    • Leave the "default" settings under Advanced as they are, if not set , please check:
      • Scan for potentially unwanted applications
      • Scan for potentially unsafe applications
      • Enable Anti-Stealth Technology
  5. Click "Start"... ESET scanner will begin to download the virus signatures database.
When the signatures have been downloaded, the scan will start automatically.
  6. Wait for the scan to finish... it may take a while... please be patient. When the scan is finished...
  7. Use Notepad to open the log file located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
  8. Copy and paste the contents of log.txt in your next reply.
Remember to enable your Anti-virus protection... before continuing!

Step 3.
Re-run - RSIT (Random's System Information Tool)
You should still have this program on your desktop.
  1. Double click on RSIT.exe to run it.
  2. Please read the disclaimer... click on Continue.
RSIT will start running. When done... ONLY the "C:\RSIT\log.txt"...will be reproduced.<<will be maximized
  3. Please post ONLY the "log.txt", file contents in your next reply.

Step 4.
Please include in your next reply:
  1. Any problem executing the instructions?
  2. MBAM scan results.
  3. ESET scan results.
  4. RSIT log.txt contents.
  5. How is the computer behaving?
Thanks,

It will not allow me to update malwarebytes. It says an error occurred please report the following error code to the malwarebytes antimalware support team error code 732(12029,0). And then another security warning says application cannot be executed the file hpsysdrv.exe is infected do you want to activate your antivirus software now. And another pop up now says antivirus software alert in a red box " your computer is being attacted by a internet virus it could be a password stealing attack a trojan dropper or similar. Attack details from 216.838.123,port47090 atttacked port 9148 threat Win32 Nugel.E Do you want to block this attack.
Now I have over 25 yellow shields across the bottom of my sreen and they are steady coming.
There are two more attack messages Attack from: 131.28247.152 port 56514, Attacked port:57014,Threat: BankerFx.A. The next message says Attacked from: 222.95.104.79 port 31350
,attacked port: 53955, threat: BankerFox.A.
Now the pop ups have begun with the internet adult and so forth. This isn't an email issue it happened when I got on the net. It wasn't ever removed. It all started when I visited swissloanspetrol . Com and I clicked on a link at the bottom that opened another window. And the computer immediately stopped allowing me to open programs or the internet.
Now it says it has updated and is logging off and saving the updates. It completetly logged off without me doing so. I CANNOT run updates or programs in normal mode.
And the Avira antivirus is completely of noneffect. Hope this helps. Its not easy typing this on blackberry. I await your reply.
