Hijack Log-- Pretty sure I have some sort of virus

The last few times I ran on Windows Vista it has been freezing so bad (it's never done this before, and the computer is a little over a year old) that I can't really do anything. The computer will start up and freeze. A lot of times I will do control alt delete and it will produce an error dialog box that says "failure security control". It looks like it de-activated updates for my anti-virus software. Also, on my desktop there are pictures that I've never seen before, that were not on my computer. And my start up task bar would reload a bunch of times, and then it would show up in a sort of old version of Windows. It was strange. Please help, I have exams next week!
