Vundo trojan has survived fdisk and reload of windows

Unread postby johhaf01 » November 15th, 2009, 5:04 pm

I have been following the posts on similar topics and tried the suggested steps. Only Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware even finds this thing, but at the suggested reboot after removal, all of the infected files remain as if nothing was done. As a last resort, I completely wiped the hard drive and reloaded windows only to find out that it has completely survived the whole process. I am thinking that this got into the RAM or the BIOS at this point. So, is there anything that can be done? Here is the MBAM log:

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.41
Database version: 3172
Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3

In order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a HijackThis log. Please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your HijackThis log by pasting it into your post. Do not utilize attachments. You should include your Malwarebytes log too, but please include both logs in the same post.
