Services seems to struggle - Malware related?

When I go to "Network Connections" in Control Panel, there's nothing there - 0 objects - even though the internet is working. When I press refresh while I'm in "Network Connections", I get the message:

"The Network Connections Folder was unable to retrieve the list of Network adapters on your machine. Please make sure that the Network Connections service is enabled and running."

But in the list of Services, "Network Connections" at least seems to be running. This doesn't really sound so bad, since the network is working anyway, but it makes trouble for my Firewall from ESET Smart Security 4 - it seems to believe that there is no internet.

So is this some new malware-method of disabling firewalls or what? Anything suspicous in my HijackThis log? (mrouter is related to communication with my cell phone, RTHDCPL is realtek hd audio control panel)
