I need Help PC popups & problems NotePad Hijack Attached~

Unread postby AveHurley » August 26th, 2009, 5:27 am

I recently got a refurbished Dell Optiplex 270 with a new 500 GB Hd & 3MB Ram.The company that sold it to me copied its old 80GB Hd onto my New 500GB.It has XP Pro Version 5.1 2600 ver 2002 SP3 Pentium 4 2.80GHZ.
I had to send it back to the company as the Dell discs didnt let me upgrade to IE8 or run Updates. It would hang up on front pages of websites and not allow me to use links elsewhere on the sites. They returned it & it worked fine for a month. Some websites would not have their color.
Then on Ning forums, where people post comments with added pictures, they were becoming stretched longer at the 1/3 lower section of my monitor. Not all but some, so I reinstalled Suns Java and Adobe Flash. I did all my Windows Updates, showing all loaded with no failures.I had Avast antivirus which was factory installed for 60 days but was never sure it was actually working or not.The virus protection was about to expire, so I removed it and installed AVG8.5 and Malwarebytes & CCCleaner. Each detect no problem.I tried the OneCare Scanner with no answers. My son went into the CMD and checked some place that was supposed to show new or unusual files that indicate viruses, but saw none.
Now there are popups[although I have a pop up blocker on~] It looks like it is supposed to be windows and wants me to click on it but I click off it as I dont trust it. It has come up on several ning sites I go to. It claims a Syntax char issue but wants me to use 'their' scanner. I looked up Syntax virus/worms but couldnt find solution.
I had foolishly been using my administrator account for this month to load my art into. I decided I better make a new adm acct with my name and begin to use that & made user acct
for my son. Next boot up my first Administrator account was not visible except in safe mode, so I began enabling file sharing in safe mode so I could access my pictures on my user/adm acct. It was becoming a nuisance, so I deleted my sons user acct and tried to delete my user/adm so I could get back to my Administrators account to have full access to my pictures, but it wouldnt allow me to delete my usernamed adm acct.
I settled for 2 adm accts but when I access pictures, my son's deleted acct name shows in the paths of my pics..
My screen jumps when typing in forums like this and I cant see what I am typing till after. My mouse on right click intermittently wont work at all. The popups want me to download some scanner. I cant find the file that must have managed to get on my co puter that carried it. I can only think it might have come when I was downloading some drivered from the Dell site.
Anyway, here is a cut and paste of the notepad reading from hijack~
My mouse jumps when trying to catch a spot to write here and on any text module which is a real nuisance since I deal with ning all dy on forums for art so needing to see pictures without being streched and being able to type in a module is important to me, as well as stopping that pop up and being able to view webpages without some being all white when they are supposed to be full color. I thought I needed new drivers but I checked Dell and loaded all I could find and seems to not change anything. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
