Hi Alck,
Sorry for the delay.
If you indeed have win32:backdoor IRCbot.genK on the machine, it is in all liklihood being remote controlled to some extent.
From F-Secure:
"IRCBot" represents a large family of backdoors - remote access tools used by hackers.
These tools allow for the control of a victim's computer remotely by sending specific commands via IRC channels.
Also, these backdoors can steal data and spread to computers vulnerable to exploits.

re: a subject that may or may not be related - Web Thunder can be legitimate or it can be installed by hackers to gain access illegally... Was Thunder Network installed on this machine on purpose?

You have two antivirus programs on your PC at the same time.
They will conflict with each other and cause system instability and/or improper AntiVirus protection.
Choose to keep just one: either the Antivir or McAfee Antivirus, and Uninstall the other, Using Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.

Retrieve the List of Installed programs Using HJT
Open HijackThis, click Open The Misc Tools Section. Then scroll down the list if you need to, click Open Uninstall Manager and Save List...
The List of installed programs will automatically be saved as uninstall_list.txt in your HiJackThis folder.
In addition, the list opens in Notepad so you can also save as another name in another location if you wish.
Please paste the contents into your next reply.

If any credit cards have been used via this machine, you have to assume that the data has been stolen.
Tell me about the machine in question.
Is it a laboratory machine for electronics testing? Is there any private data on it? Who owns it?
