Malware on my PC

Unread postby Sith Lord » August 9th, 2009, 7:43 am

I've scanned with Trend System Clean and tried to fix with Twinfix. I can not update Trend as of now and have no virus protection. In addition VSCANTM.BIN cam up as corrupted and unreadable in the scan. This is to update in Trend? My log is here.
Thank you,
Rob

Hi and welcome to the MR forums. :)

I'm melboy and I am going to try to help you with your problem. Please take note of the following:

  1. I will be working on your Malware issues this may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.
  2. The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
  3. If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to ask.
  4. Please DO NOT run any other tools or scans whilst I am helping you.
  5. It is important that you reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  6. Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.
  7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

No Reply Within 3 Days Will Result In Your Topic Being Closed!! If you need more time please inform me.

I am currently reviewing your log and will return, as soon as possible, with your instructions.

Due to a lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
