Malware/Trojan/Virus - No Safe Mode - No Working Antivirus

Hi. Long story made short I was working on my boyfriend's computer and I realized that the browser had become hijacked. I am continually being redirected to various search pages based upon what I search for on google. I also noticed that windows didn't recognize mcafee and no matter what I did, it wouldn't work.

Now, unfortunately things have progressively gotten worse:
1) System has crashed multiple times.
2) Mcafee, although installed cannot be "found" or used (ie files are missing)
3) The browsers suddenly shuts down whenever I do antivirus "searches" at all.
4) ***Most importantly*** I cannot, under any circumstances start windows in safe mode.

All scans including Malwarebytes come out negative (nothing found).

I have fixed other problems like this before, but this is something I've never encounted before. Below is my Highjack This Log.
