Error 1058 When trying to start automatic updates

I followed every step on Microsofts website to fix this problem, and was told I may have malware. When I go to service.msc and go to automatic updates, I hit properties, click automatic in the startup type: and click apply. that all works, but when I click on start, isometimes I get an error runningscript page which states"res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\mmcndmgr.dll/views.htms" then I click yes, it does nothing. Other times I try it, I click apply after clicking automatic, and it puts it right back to disabled. And other times, I get the error 1058. So, to fix this problem I looked up the error with Microsoft and was given your website. So, I downloaded, etc. and here's my log:

RENAME HIJACKTHIS

There is some infection hiding in your log.

Using Windows Explore by right-clicking the Start button and left clicking Explore navigate to:
C:\Documents and Settings\Danielle\Desktop\HijackThis.exe

Right-click on HijackThis.exe & select Rename to scanner.exe and post back a new Hijackthis log.
