Dos Prompts & "Advertisement Service"

Unread postby kamandi » December 20th, 2008, 4:09 pm

I recently had a problem with several instances of malware. I have used Adaware, spybot and CA Anti-virus to clean out my system. Several weeks passed and I have noticed that an entry appears in my Add/Remove Programs List named "Advertisement Service" that seemingly cannot be removed. Also, on startup, I have noticed that about a half dozen dos prompts popup and close themselves. After theis started occuring, I downloaded and ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. It found and removed several items that none of the other programs was catching, but I am still seeing the Dos prompts and Advertisement Services.

EDIT: I will be out of town and AFK from 12/24 thru 12/28

Due to lack of response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
