Hi you wonderful helpful people!

I am having a few problems with viruses on my computer and had tried a few things to rectify it myself but have become a bit stuck and was wondering if you could help me out at all?

Basically, it all started with AVG detecting "iamfamous.dll" WIN32/Heur which i quarantined. I ran Malwarebytes and SUPERantispyware removing a whole bunch more nasties, then Kaspersky told me I had 2 other WIN32 viruses. Essentially it keeps changing whats causing problems and I think I'm going about it all wrong and definitely can't sort it myself!

I have attached my most recent HJT log, but have a few others, and logs from Malwarebytes and SAS if you want them. Thank you for any help

David

Hi dranderson

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

Please download the OTMoveIt3 by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt3.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator).
  • Copy the lines in the codebox below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

    Code: Select all
    :files
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp\tmp4.tmp

    :commands
    [EmptyTemp]
    [reboot]

  • Return to OTMoveIt3, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to Move" window (under the yellow bar) and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt3
Note: If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes. In this case, after the reboot, open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and copy/paste the contents of that document back here in your next post.

Those are fine.

Please re-scan with eset and post back if it still finds that same file.

OK I'm running the Eset scan now. Just out of interest, while its running, if Eset found the TMP4 file, but the MoveIt program didn't find it to get rid of it, what happened to it?

Then it might be for example hidden from system (= rootkit).

We will do a further research in that case.
