Please help. Computer beeps once and mouse freezes for 1 sec or longer. Sometimes have to reboot. Running xp with sp3. Started happening before install sp3. Gigabyte mb with amd x2 cpu. checked core temps-30-40c. Mouse is ps/2. Tried to update mouse driver no luck to fix. Please eval hijackthis log.

You did not include your HijackThis log. ;)

In order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a HijackThis log. A HijackThis log, as well as other logs that may be requested, provide us with a guideline for removing whatever malware is infecting your system. We cannot proceed without such logs for guidance.
