Nasty pop-ups and hijacked I.E.

Unread postby Brucew4yne » September 8th, 2008, 4:37 am

I offered to help a friend with his laptop as he aquired some trojans surfing without av or antispyware...
I installed and ran AVG in safe mode which found around 11 or 12 urgent infections, they were moved to the virus vault and i deleted them as i thought they weren't attached to any inportant files.
The pop-ups have stopped and comp seems to be running faster, but i've read that not all traces of trojans are removed as easily as this.
Please could anyone take a look at the hjt log and advise me if there is anything else i could do, as i'm new to this kind of problem, but would like to learn.
