antispycheck.com

Hi,

I am new to this forum and my computer was infected by adware from antispycheck.com. It continually pops up on my screen saying I am being attacked and then sends me to there company sited to buy their antispy software.

My McAfee software can id the adware but not destroy it. I also cannot find the program on my add/remove programs to remove it, nor can I find it on my computer anywhere except my toolbar, but, when you touch those icons they just send you to their site with no uninstall options.

It is problematic because the popup comes up every 2-3 minutes and whenever it comes up it severely slows down my machine.

The company is based in Riga, Latvia and the McAfee site advisor says it runs on the Russian NGINX mini server. I am desparate to uninstall/destroy this malicious adware.

Thanks

I posted this several days ago, but, have been unable to respond to Shaba because my computer can no longer view web pages. I can connect wirelessly or by broadband, but both IE and firefox cannot pull up or view pages. How can we proceed using other computers?

We are very sorry you have waited so long for a response and that you are experiencing so many difficulties. As you can see, we are quite busy as are all the other help forums.

In order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a HijackThis log. A HijackThis log, as well as other logs that may be requested, provide us with a guideline for removing whatever malware is infecting your system. We cannot proceed without such logs for guidance.

Please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your HijackThis log. If you are unable to create and post a HijackThis log, then your only option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.
