The Symptoms:

Virus scans are coming up clean but I ran symantec's online security scan and got a fail on the trojan checker. My cpu acts like I am running a very graphic intensive program in the background which makes my start menu and desktop icons vanish periodically. All attempts at running spybot have come up clean as well. I'm up to new suggestions.

Here is my log file:

Hi freakp

Please click this link-->Jotti

Copy/paste the first file on the list into the white Upload a file box and click Submit/Send (depends on which one you are using Jotti or VirusTotal).

F:\WINDOWS\system32\config\atww\ShellService.dll
F:\WINDOWS\system32\ednmfw\Director_idnhe.dll

Repeat steps for all files on the list.

Please post back the results of the scan in your next post.

If Jotti is busy, try the same at Virustotal: http://www.virustotal.com/

Hi

Those look like to be new malware and we need samples.

Download suspicious file packer from here

Unzip it to desktop, open it & paste in the list of files below, press next & it will create an archive (zip/cab file) on desktop

F:\WINDOWS\system32\config\atww\ShellService.dll
F:\WINDOWS\system32\ednmfw\Director_idnhe.dll

Go to spykiller

Press new topic, make threads title "Files for Shaba"
Include to your message a link to here, then attach the cab/zip file to your message and post the topic
If you cant locate it through the browse button just copy/paste the filename and path.

After that, reply here and we'll continue :)

No, if it's knowingly installed.

How much RAM you have?

Due to Lack of Response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
