Hi Carolyn,

I did not answer your question.

I don't think I'm running Administrator on my computer.

After I bought this computer I set up a password and I use my setting
everytime I log in.

Can you help me how to run my computer as administrator?

Thanks in advance,
Ted

Hello,

I think you are probably logging in as an administrator already.

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop.
  1. Close all applications and windows.
  2. Right click on dss.exe and select Run as administrator, then follow the prompts.
  3. When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
  4. Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and the extra.txt in your reply.

Please post the contents of main.txt and extra.txt.

Hi Carolyn,

I figured it out that I'm running my computer as administrator (after i checked the User's Acccount and safety. Yes, I set it up my name as administrator so I kind of confuse coz I can't delete the Java update2 and 5.

Can you reply me back if I can just continue your procedure and update my latest Java and uninstall CombFix?

Thanks in advance,
Ted

I figured it out that I'm running my computer as administrator (after i checked the User's Acccount and safety. Yes, I set it up my name as administrator so I kind of confuse coz I can't delete the Java update2 and 5.

Can you reply me back if I can just continue your procedure and update my latest Java and uninstall CombFix?

Thanks in advance,
Ted

Hi Ted,

Your Java is up to date. You can go ahead and uninstall ComboFix and continue with the other steps in my post.

Just a reminder.... Your continued use of P2P programs will almost certainly reinfect your computer. I strongly recommend that you uninstall uTorrent and avoid the use of P2P programs in the future.

From Malware Removal P2P Programs Policy:

Use of P2P (Person to Person) file sharing programs

We have noticed that most people seeking help from us are coming with infections contracted from the use of P2P programs.

Because of this, we felt we needed to change our policy on the use of P2P file sharing programs.
  • If your helper detects the presence of such programs on your computer he/she will ask you to remove them. We will withdraw our help should you not agree to their removal.

  • If we clean your computer of infection, and you return to us a short time later with an infection contracted by the use of P2P programmes, we will refuse our help.

Take care Ted - Happy surfing!
