Hello, and thank you for taking a look at my thread.

Lately, my computer has been running very slowly when I have multiple programs running. A good example would be when I'm playing World of Warcraft and alt-tab out of it to look up something on my web browser. It usually takes about 2 minutes for the game to actually alt-tab out, and when I'm finally able to click my web browser, it takes more than 3 minutes to even recognize I clicked it.
At first, I just thought it was low memory, but I kind of have the feeling that isn't all there is to it. I've only got 1GB of RAM, which is more than the minimum required for all of my games.

I don't want to ramble on about my computer too much, so I guess I'll go ahead and paste my log file.

I scan my computer with my anti-virus programs quite often, and they very rarely pick up anything. I'm not sure if it's just that there's nothing to pick up or if there's something it can't pick up.
Anything out of place?

P.S. I've never really posted stuff like this before. If I left anything thing out, or did something wrong, please, let me know.

Hi shamanistic,
Sorry for the delay.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Disable Spybot's TeaTimer. This is a two step process.
First step:
  • Right-click the Spybot Icon in the System Tray (looks like a blue/white calendar with a padlock symbol)
  • If you have the older version 1.4, Click on Exit Spybot S&D Resident
  • If you have the new version 1.5, Click once on Resident Protection, then Right click the Spybot icon again and make sure Resident Protection is now Unchecked. The Spybot icon in the System tray should now be now colorless.
Second step, For Either Version :
  • Open Spybot S&D
  • Click Mode, choose Advanced Mode
  • Go To the bottom of the Vertical Panel on the Left, Click Tools
  • then, also in left panel, click Resident (shows a red/white shield).
  • If your firewall raises a question, say OK
  • In the Resident protection status frame, Uncheck the box labeled Resident "Tea-Timer"(Protection of over-all system settings) active
  • OK any prompts.
  • Use File, Exit to terminate Spybot
  • Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect.

Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune © from here : http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1
It is a stand-alone program that does not need to be "installed". Save it to a convenient location and make a shortcut on your desktop.
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe or your shortcut to run the program.
Under Main, choose Select All
Click Empty Selected

Click Firefox in the top bar, and choose Select All
Click on Empty Selected
NOTE: If you would like to keep any saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

If you use Opera,
Click Opera in the top bar, and choose Select All
Click on Empty Selected
NOTE: If you would like to keep any saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

When it tells you how much has been removed, click Exit from the Main window.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Run MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
Please download the Installer and save to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to both Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • If necessary, start Malwarebytes Anti-Malware again.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location, and post the contents in your reply.
  • The log can also be found here if you need it : Start, All Programs, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, Logs
The logs are named by date stamp
--------------------------------------------------------
Go to My Computer, right click the C: drive and choose Properties.
Please record what it reports for Used space and Free space on the drive and report that back in your next post.
Please repeat the process for D:\ drive and tell me what is reported.

To summarize, we are looking for the log from Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, and the used and free space on both C: and D: drives.
