Task Manager has been disabled--Can't access internet

Unread postby Catbarber » May 16th, 2008, 9:09 am

Looks like Norton I.S. missed this one. First problem showed up as a Malware infection. Almost immediately afterwards I began getting pop-ups from the taskbar saying Spyware has been detected and I needed to follow their link for programs to fix it. Additionally my desktop wallpaper was hijacked and replaced with a generic banner stating the same Spyware was found. Soon after that I lost the ability to connect to the internet. When attempting to see what was running in Task Manager (Cntrl-Alt-Del) is got this annoying window "Task Manager has been disabled by your Administrator" .

Here's my log and I can't thank you enough for any help you can offer to get this bug removed.

Double post. Please stick to your first post: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=30770

Please be patient until someone replies to assist you. Do not post again in your own thread until a helper replies.

Meanwhile, I'll close this thread.
