Hi kateprincess

None of those are harmful.

There are all part of windows and essential that windows works correctly.

System volume information is a folder for system restore.

Recycler is a folder for Recycle Bin.

NTUSER is related to registry.

The reason why you see those is most likely because you have hidden and system files visible.

I suggest that you do the following that you won't deleting anything essential by occasion:

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Do not show hidden files and folders.
* Check the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

After that, tell me if you have any other concerns :)

Thank you. I couldn't see them anymore. But during my panic over those files and folders,i deleted some using CCleaner, after that there was no sound coming out from speaker. It stated that sigmatel high definition audio codec is in error and missing stacsv.exe, I tried reinstalled the driver from CD and download the codec online but still it was unsuccessful. My laptop is dell xps M1210. Thank you again for helping me :)

Hi

You can try to perform a system restore before CCleaner and post back if that helps.

Hi

I see.

Then I wonder if CCleaner has even caused it.

As this seems to be a non-malware problem, I can redirect you to some windows forum.

Is that ok?
