Ridiculous Lag, Hijacked

Unread postby miguich » April 7th, 2008, 5:47 pm

About four months ago my computer began to lag spontaniously and freeze while I was playing online games like Guild Wars and World of Warcraft. I thought it was the internet connection but restarted and reconfigured it; my conncetion is not the problem. Then my computer started to freeze up while playing videos and now has moments where it takes five minutes to load up a webpage. just recently my flashplayer has even stopped working. My friend told me that my computer may be hijacked. I am on a Acer laptop Aspire 3100

Here is my HijackThis Log

Can't see any infection there. However, you seem to have multiple antivirus products (Avast and Symantec/Norton Antivirus) running at the same time. That surely slows any system down.

Decide which one you want to use and uninstall the other one. You should also defrag your hard drives unless you've done so recently.

Do those two steps and let me know did it help :)

Due to Lack of Response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
