You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/l ... areout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.

Finally, please post a fresh HijackThis log, along with the contents of the logfile C:\fixwareout\report.txt

  • Open a new notepad window (Start>All Programs>Accessories>Notepad)
  • Copy & paste the contents of the following codebox into the notepad window
    Code: Select all
    dir /a /s "C:\AUTOEXEC.NT" > AUTOEXECsearch.txt
    notepad AUTOEXECsearch.txt
    del AUTOEXECsearch.txt
  • Click File > Save as
  • In the box labelled File name copy and paste search.bat
  • Change Save as type to All Files
  • Save it to your desktop
  • Close the notepad window
  • Double click on search.bat
  • A notepad window will appear. Copy and paste the contents of that window as a reply to this topic
