Unread postby bb110 » December 2nd, 2007, 2:31 am

I feel my modem is being hijacked...
It's annoying. Sometimes it disconnects when I do downloads (Ugh!), but seems to be stable now. Or is it?
Please do a look see.

Not seeing much in your log. Just some orphaned 02's.

Run and scan with HijackThis and place checks beside the following:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {602ADB0E-4AFF-4217-8AA1-95DAC4DFA408} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {7FEBEFE3-6B19-4349-98D2-FFB09D4B49CA} - (no file)

Close all open browsers/windows and click the Fix button.

Reboot your computer.

Please go to Kaspersky website and perform an online antivirus scan. Please use Internet Explorer as it uses ActiveX.

  1. Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner button.
  2. Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
  3. It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an ActiveX from Kaspersky. Click Yes.
  4. When the downloads have finished, click on Next button.
  5. Click on Scan Settings button.
  6. Select extended under Scan using the following antivirus database:
  7. Check (tick) these boxes under Scan options:
    • Scan Archives
    • Scan Mail Bases
  8. Click OK
  9. Click on My Computer under Please select a target to scan:
  10. Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected. Click on Save as text button and save it to your desktop.

Post the contents of the KAV scan log along with a new HijackThis log please.
