Hi

Yes, you did :)

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

1. Download combofix from one of these links and save it to Desktop:
Link1
Link2
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Post:

- a fresh HijackThis log
- combofix report
- vundofix report

Hi

Yes, there is likely a downloader.

Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

Code: Select all
File::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\suupdjhh.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dbxanqjm.dll
C:\Documents and Settings\James
C:\Documents and Settings\James Davis\8762.bat
C:\Documents and Settings\James Davis\winlogo.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\James Davis\5443.bat
C:\WINDOWS\system32\9974.bat
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qfkvnvru.dll
C:\Program Files\uy.exe
C:\Program Files\Video.exe
C:\Program Files\Track_03.exe
C:\Program Files\B.ico
C:\Program Files\A.ico
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\dllhost.exe

Folder::
C:\WINDOWS\system32\zip1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\uie1
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pad2
C:\WINDOWS\system32\os2
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mon2

Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{1CD896A2-2E79-4C60-87AF-65E5756C2640}]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{569C29BE-7F3F-4300-AF7E-96B9B1DEED95}]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\~\Browser Helper Objects\{8ABA9A9C-8791-4d61-8D5B-BCC9448EA573}]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"384df9e1"=-

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]
"Authentication Packages"=hex(7):6d,73,76,31,5f,30,00,00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"Loes"=-
"Joyg"=-
"ISMPack7"=-

Save this as "CFScript"

Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

Image

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a new HijackThislog.

Hi

Well then the situation is like that:

You must keep computer offline most of the time (all time except when you need post logs) or we won't get you clean.

You have more stuff there which really isn't very friendly:

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.

This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?

When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall

We can attempt to clean this machine but i can't guarantee that it will be 100% secure afterwards.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Please let us know what you have decided to do in your next post
