Hi

You have provided a startup list - instead of a HiJackThis log.

http://www.nellie2.co.uk/extract.htm

That link has details of how to produce a HJT log for us - which is shorter than a startup list.

I notice this file being run from your startup folder.

TA_Start.lnk = C:\WINDOWS\system32\kpdsrngk.exe

The only google hit on that filename is in a log being worked by one of our experts at the spybot forum, (Blade81).

As it might be a similar case I will allert him to this topic.

You also have WinAntiSpyware 2007 which is on the SWW rogue list (link from the top of this forum).

Could you please provide the HJT log.

I would also suggest till this is clean that you stop limeware from running.

Your Java is very much out of date - so any infection to your system may have arrived via that. Blade will advise how to get that updated as part of your clean up.

I hope this is right....maybe I should let my teenage daughter do this since it looks as if her stinkin' Limewire is responsible for my issues

Thanks soooooooooooo much for helping the tech-challenged (me)

Hi bikegirl

1. Download this file -
combofix.exe
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your
next reply with a fresh hjt log.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause
it to stall
