Unread postby David » September 16th, 2007, 8:05 pm

For the past 2 weeks my mouse pointer has taken a life of its own and will ZOOM across my screen. No warning or pattern, I'll be quitely reading articles, checking mail or just playing solitare and...ZOOOM my mouse zips across the screen. Anything I should concern myself about?

Thanks and Regards,

David

David,
Sorry for the delay in responding.
Whether you wish to be that close to SONY VAIO and all that media stuff after their famous music rootkit is your call. You may want to read this:
http://blogs.technet.com/markrussinovich/archive/2005/10/31/sony-rootkits-and-digital-rights-management-gone-too-far.aspx
Technically, your log is OK. If you want help removing the SONY services, let us know.
You may have a hardware problem regarding the mouse. There does not appear to be any malware that shows in the HJT log.
If you would like us to look deeper, we can do so. Please post a new log and ask us to do it.
