Hello, and welcome to the forum.

My name is Simon V., and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.

HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that happens.
I am currently looking over your log. As I am a trainee, everything that I post to you must be checked by an Admin or Moderator. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long. I will post back shortly with a potential fix.

Please be patient and I'd be grateful if you would note the following:

  • I will be working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
  • Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine appears to be clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • It's often worth reading through these instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
  • If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to say or ask! It's better to be sure and safe than sorry.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.

    Hi :)

    Rename HijackThis

  • Please right-click on HijackThis.exe and choose Rename. Rename it to Scanner.exe.

    VundoFix
  • Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES.
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
    • A logfile will be saved at C:\\vundofix.txt.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

    Make an Uninstall List
  • To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

    1. Start HijackThis
    2. Click on the Config button
    3. Click on the Misc Tools button
    4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
    5. Click on the Save list... button and save the file to a convenient location. When you press Save, Notepad will open with the contents of that file. Please post the Uninstall List from HijackThis and the logfile from Vundofix, along with a new HijackThis log in your next reply.

    Registry::

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\Genuine]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\setup]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\byteflapbrowsecity]
    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\shared tools\msconfig\startupreg\Error Nuker]

  • Save this as "CFScript".

    Click Yes.
    • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
    • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
    • Now click on Scan Settings
    • In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:
      • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
        Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
      • Scan Options:

Hi :)

Please post the Combofix log I asked for. I am currently searching for a way you can get the Kaspersky log to me.

Edit: Can you try to edit out all the lines with Object is locked skipped at the end in the Kaspersky log, and then post it? If that doesn't work, we'll try and find another solution :)
