Yes, it is. :)

Going over all the log now, in meanwhile do this too please.

Let do it another way, hex sometimes shows wrong on forums.

Copy/paste the following quote box into a new notepad (not wordpad) document.

reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SchedulingAgent" > %systemdrive%\key.txt
reg query "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Relations" /s >> %systemdrive%\key.txt
notepad %systemdrive%\key.txt

Save it to your Desktop as regkey.bat. Save it as:
File Type: All Files (not as a text document or it wont work).
Name:regkey.bat

Locate regkey.bat on your Desktop and double-click it. When notepad opens, copy/paste the content in your reply.

Download Bobbi Flekman's RegSearch from
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/regsearch.php

Create a folder for RegSearch on the C: drive called C:\RegSearch. You can do this by going to My Computer then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it RegSearch. Extract all the files from the zip archive into that folder.

Open the RegSearch folder and double-click the icon for RegSearch.exe to launch the program.
Copy / Paste the following line into the Search Box:

nt.sys

next line enter paraudio

next line enter Relations

then hit Ok

After completion Notepad will be opened with all the found instances of the string. The resulting file is saved in the same location as RegSearch.exe.

Something else ...

Run HijackThis, click on Open the Misc Tools Section, click on Open Uninstall Manager. Highlight the entries below and on the right side you'll see the uninstall command. Copy that info back here please.

My DSC
Yahoo! Toolbar

Thanks :)

I'll be back in 1h30 approximatively (it is now 20:15 - GMT + 1)

The relations entry in the svchost export is not a standard entry, so I need more info.

Stay offline as much as possible please until we have further info. :)

When you highlight a command in the left pane ... Yahoo toolbar for example. At the right side you see

Name : .....
Uninstall command : ......

Buttons

Delete this entry - Edit uninstall command

When clicking on Edit uninstall command, a new window will pop up with an edit box. The text in the edit box is highlighted. Press CTRL + C, open notepad and press CTRL + V. Paste text in reply.

Download dumpwin to your desktop
http://images.malwareremoval.com/Kimberly/dumpwin.zip

Unzip to your desktop. Open the dumpwin folder, click dumpwin.bat.
Notepad might show up with win.txt
Please post content.

Question : Are you confortable with the Registry ? Editing the registry ? In other words ... use regedit ?

No worries. Mark. :)

Relax, take a deep breath and don't panic. :)

My instructions aren't clear enough maybe ... so I will post the procedure step by step and a screen capture that illustrates it.

Run HijackThis, click on Open the Misc Tools Section, click on Open Uninstall Manager.

In the scrollbox on the left side, select Yahoo toolbar by clicking on it.

On the right side, click on Edit uninstall command. A new window will open with the uninstall command highlighted.

Press CTRL + C on your keyboard.

Open notepad and press CTRL + V

Repeat for My DSC and paste results please. If no go, don't panic, just tell me. :)

The screenshot is Ad-Aware because I don't have the same programs installed as you do. The steps remain the same though. :)

Image

dumpwin.bat

It means that the win.hiv file is empty and win.txt will not be created then. Just close notepad and the CMD window. It means that the registry key is not present or not visible so we can not export it.

I have to check a couple of things regarding presence of relations, be back in a few.

As asked ... are you confortable with regedit or not ?

Thanks :)

C:\PROGRA~1\YAHOO!\COMMON\unyt.exe

Hello Mark,

Yes, that is exactly the info I wanted, thanks. :)

About My DSC ... do you know what it is ? Something you did install ?

Ok, if we need to fix that manually I will post regedit screenshots to help you. Looking for a method to automate eventual removal. :)

Yes, I understand that you want to get rid of it and that it has been a hard day ... we'll do our best to get it. :)

Now ... when possible as I know it is already late for you ...

Re- Download dumpwin.zip to your desktop as I did update the file.
http://images.malwareremoval.com/Kimberly/dumpwin.zip

Unzip to your desktop, overwrite all existing files. Open the dumpwin folder, click dumpwin.bat.

The log might be huge, to much to post here so please upload to spykiller forum.

Please click on the link below.
http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/forum/ind ... ;board=1.0

You will be taken to a new post page (at a different forum)
In the subject box put Chinese infection for Kimberly
Please put your name and email in the box. In the message portion, please paste this:
Code: Select all
win.txt file for Kimberly (normal mode)
logfile: http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewtopic.php?t=14727

Then, by the attach bar at the bottom, hit 'browse'. Click on My computer, then on Local Disk C.
Find the file below and hit ok:

win.txt
