### Outlook Help

Hi there

My System has beed doing some weird things lately and yesterday outlook failed to download my email and changed some settings in my contacts.

Tech support at my ISP said it must be malware. I have the free versions of Spybot, Ad-Aware, Spyware Doctor all running. Made sure they were all up to date and did a full scan with each, nothing found. Also using Zone Alarm and Norton AV, norton is up to date and a full scan also reveals nothing.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well I can see two things wrong in the log, but neither would cause you that problem.

1.
Sun Java is out of date - it needs updating.

2.
You have Norton installed (sorry I dont like Norton.)

You might have a clash with firewalls etc - but with no sign of malware - and with none of the normal symptems of malware, I would say you are clean.

Go back and tell the techs to think again.

Other places that might be able to help with non malware problems.

### Thanks Chris

I'll update Sun Java and change to AVG.

Try disabling the firewalls to see if that solves the problem - it it does reinstall one - only ever have one running

Good luck with the tech.
