I'm reviewing it. This takes time and is done after I get off work from my paying job. Then (as I am an Undergrad) my post needs to be checked by one of the instructors. Thank you for your patience.

Hi ronyap,

The java here needs the same updates.
Update Java - Download and install the newest version from here.
Then go to Start >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs.
Search for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
Click that entry and then click on the Uninstall button.

Run Hijackthis, Press Do a system scan only (if that button is not available, press Scan)
Place a check (tick) beside each listed item below.
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

I see you are using Windows ME. In just over 3 weeks, on July 11th, 2006, Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 98 and ME. There is already one serious security flawthat is not going to be fixed on both of those operating systems. Microsoft has already said they are not going to fix the problem, so you are going to leave yourself open to attack. If spyware or trojans use this hole to get onto your computer, there may not be anything you can do to stop it...
