Computers been hijacked.. Began after an installement of an updated version of msgPlus!, and MSN Messenger. MsgPlus! has a check box for installing with or without sponsor program, I do belive that this box was unfortunatly checked.. guess the easy thing to do is to un-install, and then re-install the update WITHOUT the sponsor prog. but I am guessing the un-installment will not remove whatever that has hijacked the computer.

I have run ad-aware and it found the malware and removes it. But after rebooting its there again. I have also run, Norten wich is the primary anti virus prog. and have also run Trend Micros free scan, but they didn`t find anything to fix/quarantine. Just after beeing hijacked Norten blocked a Trojan it refeered to as "Bla." Now I have run CWShredder and scanned computer with HijackThis. Below is the HJT log. Thanks for any help!

Chilling_Out,

Hello! and welcome to our forums.

===============

We'll need to unload (not uninstall) Intermute's SpySubtract, since it might interfere with other program(s) we might be using to 'clean' off your system.

===============

If you haven't ran HouseCall lately, let's go back to www.trendmicro.com, download the latest definitions, and run it.

===============

Download, unzip to your desktop CWShredder and run it, then:

1. Click "Check For Update"

(If an update isn't available, skip to step #4.)

2. Click "Click here to Download the update".
3. When the new version has been downloaded, click "Save".
4. Click "Fix ->"

===============

Go to Add/Remove programs and remove(uninstall) the following, if present:

Messenger Plus! 3

===============

Next, we need to remove(uninstall) the 'lop' infection by going to here, then downloading and running the uninstaller(s) that relate to the application(s) your wanting to remove. The following selections are available: "Start page", "Search engine", "Accessories Toolbar".

After uninstalling any (or all) of the above, let's see if we have anything in "Scheduled Tasks":

Download, unzip and run ScheduledTasks.bat (courtesy of ddeerrff), and when notepad comes up, post the contents back to this thread.

===============

Run HiJackThis and click "Scan", then check(tick) the following, if present:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.xjkaxbbxnxjibrdhgoskvjf.com/ ... A0aylw.asp

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {09E163CF-EEBA-F228-AA5A-9B362592D88B} - C:\DOCUME~1\Marita\APPLIC~1\AMENNU~1\part funk.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MessengerPlus3] "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\MsgPlus.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dale2sizebook] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\JoyBalmDale2\SiteMulti.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MessengerPlus3] "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3\MsgPlus.exe" /WinStart
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [great bat] C:\DOCUME~1\Marita\APPLIC~1\KINDSO~1\BookNew.exe

O9 - Extra button: Messenger Addon - {FB5F1911-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - http://messenger.ipfox.com (file missing)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: &Messenger Addon - {FB5F1911-F110-11d2-BB9E-00C04F795683} - http://messenger.ipfox.com (file missing)

O16 - DPF: {8AD9C840-044E-11D1-B3E9-00805F499D93} (Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2) -
O16 - DPF: {CAFEEFAC-0014-0000-0000-ABCDEFFEDCBA} (Java Runtime Environment 1.4.0) -

Now, with all windows closed except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

===============

Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure your able to"view system and hidden files/folders":

folders...

C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! 3

files...

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\JoyBalmDale2\SiteMulti.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Marita\Application Data\AMENNU~1\part funk.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Marita\Application Data\KINDSO~1\BookNew.exe

-

Note that some of these file(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them from "Safe Mode".

===============

Reboot your computer.

Post back a new log, report any problems and let me know how everything goes.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE do not restart your computer unless asked, restarting can reinfect your computer resulting in us starting the cleaning up process all over!
