Hello blondlily57,
Yes you can leave Tweaking.com Registry backup... this can be set to create a backup once a day, each time the computer is started or you can just leave it and create a backup when making changes to your computer.
I and many others use the free version of Malwarebytes' Antimalware... it is up to you which you decide to use. If you want the Pro version, then you'll have to buy it.
If you want to continue to use the free version, leave it installed and update/run it weekly.
Many people simply use the built-in anti-virus product (Defender) that came with Windows 8. On my Windows 8 computer I use Windows Defender, Malwarebytes' Antimalware (free version) and WinPatrol... that's it and haven't had any problems with infections. Just remember that no anti-virus product is going to find and remove everything, so if you want to change your antivirus product, you would have to disable Defender, before installing any other Anti-virus product. Having more than one Anti-virus product running at the same time can cause system instability or even crashes.
Again the McAfee product you have is
NOT an antivirus product, it offers NO protection. It simply can be used to scan your computer to see what security products you have installed and what their status is (ex: updated, disabled, etc). Do not confuse this product with McAfee antivirus product they are 2 entirely different items.
Some final steps... and some reading for you. As always don't hesitate to ask, if you have questions.
